During high school, I played basketball and participated in track and field as a sprinter and a jumper. Running long distances was not something of interest for me. After college (and after putting on several pounds), I decided to use running and cycling as a way of managing my weight - ride my bike to work, work out with weights and run, commute back home on the bike. I completed my first marathon in 2002 and was introduced to triathlon by a colleague and training partner. The only problem was that I could not swim. I promised myself that I would complete my first triathlon before my 40th birthday. That was five years ago, and I am now hooked. I began with TriDot as a Pre-Season Project newbie in January 2018. Previously I had not had any triathlon coaching and used online and print resources to put together my training for races. TriDot has given my training focus in volume and in training intensity. I have seen significant progress with TriDot's help and guidance. This year I will compete in my first 70.3 event. I am super excited to see where TriDot's training will take me.
